I used to love the dances at the Rec. Unlike everyone else, I didn't like riding up and down the one-ways. On Saturdays and some early evenings after school I used to work at McCabes, and I thought that was so much fun. I frequently worked in the office at an old fashioned switchboard, and then there was the manually operated elevator. You had to guess where to stop. I opened the door to a brick wall once, and the woman I was carrying almost fainted. Remember how non-pulsed we were about everything?
