Services were at Temple Baptist, Davenport and burial was at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

 

He was born in Rock Island.

 

Surviving are his wife, Veronica; daughter, Karlene McKinley-Porter, Moline; grandchildren, Jamaree Atwater and Elijah Porter; stepsiblings, Vickie Mays, Hattie Crawford, Aretha Crawford, Nolan Shepphard, Taurean Shepphard, all of Davenport.
