Raymond "Pug" Kammerer
April 6 1944 - September 1, 1992

Raymond L. "Pug"
Kammerer, 48, of 2917 8th St., Rock Island, died Tuesday, Sept. 1,
1992, at home, following a 10-year battle with cancer.
Memorial services were
held at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. The body has been donated
to University of Iowa Department of Anatomy.
Mr. Kammerer was born
April 16, 1944, in Moline, the son of John and Joan Hegwood Kammerer.
He had worked as
director of environmental services and Mercy Hospital, Chicago.
He was a graduate of
Rock Island High School and Black Hawk College, Moline. He also had
been a member of the first graduating class of St. Pius X Grade
School, Rock Island.
He was a member of St.
Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island; and American Legion, Chicago.
He was a Vietnam War
Air Force veteran.
He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, and wildlife.
Survivors include his
mother and stepfather, Joan and Wilbert Wellington, Chicago; a
brother, John G. Kammerer, Rock Island; a stepsister, Cheryl
Wellington, and a stepbrother, Rodney Wellington, both of Chicago;
and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
