Sarah Motz
November 15, 1944 - July 13, 1995
 Memorial
services for Sarah L. Motz, 50, were held at Wheelan Funeral Home,
Rock Island. Inurnment was held at a later date in Montmorenci,
Indiana.
Miss Motz died Thursday, July 13, 1995, at Trinity Medical Center,
East Campus, Moline.
She was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Lafayette, Ind., the daughter of
Donald F. and Virginia McFarland Motz.
She earned a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University,
Macomb.
She was employed at the Department of the Army, Headquarters U.S.
Army, Armament, Ammunitions, and Chemical Command at the Rock Island
Arsenal for 30 years. Her current title was country manager, last
working on Feb. 14.
She was a member of Fort Armstrong Chapter of the Daughters of the
American Revolution; the Local Group of WAVES National, where she
also served as past president; and the National Maritime Historial
Society.
She served in the Navy from 1963 to 1966, as a Petty Officer 1st
Class.
Survivors include her mother, Rock Island; sisters, Jane Kroppt,
Moline, Ellen Zavala, Concord, N.C., Catherine E. Motz, South
Dartmouth, Mass., and Margaret Motz, Wilmette, Ill.; brothers,
Donald F. Motz Jr., Wheaton, Ill., and Eric J. Motz, Eldorado Hills,
Calif.; and 10 nieces and nephews.
