Shirley (Simmons) Inglis

Funeral services for Shirley A. Inglis, 53, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of East Moline, were held at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Mrs. Inglis died Thursday, July 31, 1997, at Hope Hospice House, Fort Myers, Fla.

She was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of James and Lacy Segura Simmons. She married Robert Inglis May 23, 1964, in Rock Island.

She had worked 14 years as a baker at Wells School, East Moline.

Shirley enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.

Survivors include her husband; daughters and a son-in-law, Wendy Lambrecht, Moline, and Tammy and Patrick Burken, Clinton, Iowa; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Karen Inglis, Geneseo; four grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosalie and Harold Hayes, Jackie Charter, Rock Island, Rose Marie and George Harl, Milan, and Barbara Rangel, Silvis; a brother, Kenneth Simmons, Rock Island; and a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Darryl Woodson, Cape Coral, Fla.
